President Bajram Begaj has invited political parties in our country to consult on the upcoming local elections, Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu learns. 

Top Channel has seen one of the invitations, through which the head of state has set the date of October 30, 2026 for the start of consultations.

The discussions will take place at the Brigades Palace, a destination chosen by the president.

President Bajram Begaj takes this step based on Article 92 of the Constitution.

The elections are expected to take place on one of the first Sundays of May 2027, after the country's president makes the official decree.
