New developments come to light following the arrest in Athens of Albanian Nikolin Pali, wanted for six years for the double murder in Loutraki, Greece.

According to Greek media reports, the arrested suspect is suspected of having admitted involvement in two other murders committed in Albania. Pali was arrested in an apartment in the Kato Patisia area of Athens during an operation by the EKAM special forces and the Greek police. He had been convicted in absentia for the murder of his ex-partner, a 43-year-old woman of Ukrainian origin, and her partner, a Greek pharmacist.

According to "Proto Thema", the 43-year-old is suspected of having confessed to two other murders committed in Albania. Meanwhile, authorities are investigating whether he was involved in other serious criminal events, including paid executions.

During a search of the apartment where he was arrested, Greek police found a pistol, two functional grenades, two detonators, three pairs of metal handcuffs, and a forged residence permit, which had the arrestee's photo on it.

According to Greek authorities, he had convictions for intentional homicide, robbery and arson with damage to property. Also, in the framework of cooperation with Interpol, it was confirmed that he was also wanted by Albanian authorities for an attempted armed robbery, carried out in collaboration.

The incident for which he was convicted in Greece occurred on the night of October 10-11, 2020, in a holiday home in the Loutraki area. According to the investigation, the perpetrator allegedly attacked his ex-partner and her partner with an axe, beating them to death. He then took money and jewelry from the victims, while driving the woman's vehicle to an isolated area and setting it on fire to cover his tracks.

In the same police operation, a 41-year-old Albanian woman was also arrested, accused of supporting the perpetrator of the crime and violating the law on foreigners.

Investigations continue to determine whether the 43-year-old is connected to other criminal events in both countries.
