Albanian young man who killed his mother in Italy ends up in psychiatric

New details have emerged from the testimony of 21-year-old Albanian Eduart Xhani, who took the life of his mother Meleqe Lusha, 39, on November 3 in Italy.

Questioned today in the psychiatric ward where he is staying after committing the serious crime, he stated that after "killing his mother, he attempted to end his own life."

Due to the serious psychological condition he was in when he surrendered to the police, the 21-year-old was not transferred to prison.  

According to Italian media, his answers were confusing and showed instability, so the court has not yet decided whether the "prison arrest" measure will continue for him.    

The crime took place in the apartment where the mother and son lived together in the Brescia area. He stabbed the 39-year-old several times with a knife, causing serious injuries that led to her instant death.
