For about two hours, the hearing for the review of the request for the imposition of a security measure against the wife and son of Urim Fiku, suspected of involvement in the murder of the 61-year-old, has been ongoing at the Dibra Court. 

The event occurred on November 3 in the village of Godvi, Bulqiza.

Sadete Fiku  and her son, Gazmir Fiku , have denied responsibility for the crime. They are reported to have told the court: " We didn't kill him, we have nothing to do with the incident ."

A decision on the security measure has not yet been made, while the hearing continues. The police announced the arrest of Sadete Fiku , 57, and her 33-year-old son,  Gazmir Fiku , suspected of involvement in the murder of the 61-year-old, a day after the incident.

It was initially claimed that Urim Fiku had been attacked by a bear, but forensic expertise conducted in Tirana revealed that he had a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police suspicions increased after the discovery of head injuries, while investigations continue to fully elucidate the circumstances of the incident.

According to reports, family members had taken the 61-year-old to Bulqiza Hospital, where he arrived with no signs of life.

They had refused to allow the body to be prepared by hospital staff, stating that, according to their tradition, they would carry out this process themselves.
