Even though the counting in several cities continues and the success of the Socialists is clearly profound, Edi Rama has not yet commented on this historic victory of the Socialist Party.
From the Socialist Party headquarters, journalist Muhamed Veliu reported that the first statement from Socialist leader Rama about this victory is expected on Wednesday.
"No grand rally with SP supporters is expected, as happened after the victory in 2021 at Skanderbeg Square."
Sources from the Socialist Party claim that there will be a message of thanks from Rama to the Albanians for the vote of confidence given to this political force, entrusting it with a fourth governing mandate.
"It is not yet known whether Rama will appear before the media from the SP headquarters to read the thank-you speech or whether it will be a recorded video message," reported Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu.
Meanwhile, a photo published the day before from a phone call with Hashim Thaçi, from the computer in Rama's office, showed several passages from the victory speech written by Edi Rama, who asked Albanians for a majority beyond 74 votes and received more than that to advance his mission for Albania in the EU by 2030.
Regarding the victory of May 11, Prime Minister Edi Rama gave a first statement to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, where he stated that the overwhelming victory came thanks to his persistence and the organization of the Socialist Party in every corner of the country.
Rama declared that we are winning because Albanians believe in the path we are following, not because the opposition is losing, adding that voters value concrete results, not pessimistic rhetoric./ TCH
