At the height of the protests in Tirana, Prime Minister Edi Rama had scheduled an official visit to Vienna where he would be received with military honors by Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker.

But as Vox News sources at the Prime Minister's Office learn, due to the escalation of the youth protest in the capital, Prime Minister Rama has decided to cancel the visit.

Rama's planned visit to Vienna was also covered by the well-known Austrian newspaper "Kurier", which described the Albanian prime minister's trip as a "welcome break" from the protests.

The media in question underlined that Austria is among the important foreign investors in the country, while trade exchanges between the two countries have increased. The Austrian media wrote that official visits to Austria are of particular importance for Tirana, given the consolidated economic ties and common interests.

Meanwhile, this morning, Prime Minister Edi Rama had a lengthy reaction from his office regarding the protests.

"The damage is not small, but it can be repaired," he declared about all the chaos created in the capital, while emphasizing that he has tried not to fall into the trap of blind violence that seeks blood.

According to him, it is not the students who are protesting, but a "paid fire group".

Rama reiterated that the person behind the violent protests is the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.

"That idiot who comes out and calls for violence from morning to night and from those around him, who are just like him, neutered and aggressive."
