On July 11, 2022, 4 days after the July 7 protest, Sali Berisha declared on Eni Vasili's "Open" show on News24, that September would be the starting point of powerful opposition protests against the government and Prime Minister Rama.
In the context of the protests that were taking place in Sri Lanka at the time, the head of the DP went even further and did not rule out the implementation of such scenarios, where the people decided to enter government institutions due to the dissatisfaction created. The purpose of this popular organization, according to the former prime minister, was based on corruption, abuse, incinerators, price increases, fuel increases, Albanian poverty, etc.
"In September, we will start the protest for the terrible theft that this man is doing to the citizens. The protest when it starts will be non-stop. Either we die out as a political force in defense of a just cause, or we will win. I say we will win", declared Berisha on July 11.
Sali Berisha made a similar statement on August 5, where he reiterated that September is late, and that with its arrival, the opposition would pour into the square against Edi Rama.
"September is late, let's face it. Albanian citizens must prepare and will prepare to give the most deserved answer to this man, for whom the bitter Albanian reality does not exist", said Berisha.
As during the summer months, he had prepared the opposition people for powerful protests, Sali Berisha continued in September the declarations for the development of sustainable nationwide protests.
"The long lasting, destructive protest against this regime is vital and decisive for moving on the path of democracy", emphasized Berisha.
"The Front for the Salvation of Albania will gather and approve an agenda which aims at a sustainable popular protest in defense of the interests of Albanian citizens".
On September 16, at a conference for journalists, Sali Berisha was asked why the Albanians do not have a protest date, when he himself had announced something like that since July 11.
"The protest will come and the most powerful that Albania has known. Let anyone forget that I kick over my words and the will of the Albanian citizens. There is no, Edi Rama will face a powerful popular revolt".
After 6 days from this statement, Sali Berisha articulates for the first time from the floor of the Parliament, the change of his agenda from protest to strike. He called on students, teachers and trade unions to organize strikes against the government.
Kur them PD, kam parasysh seksionin dhe grupseksionin. Është urgjente ndryshimi i situatës”, tha Berisha.
Although there is no date when the opposition will come out, Sali Berisha continues to articulate in meetings, soon the opposition people will stand up against the Rama Government.
"We will rise and we will rise. With a multifaceted battle, we will overturn this stagnation", declared the leader of the DP.
September is gone, along with Sali Berisha's promises that this month would be the starting point of powerful protests against Prime Minister Rama. Now the opposition people are waiting whether the president of the DP will call protests against poverty, price increases, oil increases, corruption, theft, in the month of October, or will he wait for the month of November, the last month of autumn, the season in which which he has declared that Rama will watch the most powerful popular protests ever developed./ BW
