The Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali has stated that the Socialist Parliamentary group does not recognize the resolution of the National Council of the Democratic Party for the election of the President.

"If it is true that Saliu convened an assembly to set a condition that they enter into negotiations for the new President only if their candidate is accepted, then condolences to the parliamentarians in question and a reminder from us: The Socialist Parliamentary Group does not recognize any decision of "no instance that stems from the anti-American attack of a character of the black list of the United States of America and does not intend to have any contact with that source of evil for Albania", Spiropali writes on Facebook, who is also part of the trio of negotiators from the majority in consultations for the new President.
