Rama: I have come to meet the equal masters of this house, not the former
Edi Rama

"You have become the image of the pride of our homeland in this part of Europe", this is how Prime Minister Edi Rama began his speech in front of about 6000 Albanian immigrants in Greece. Rama said that Albanians are no longer "servants" in Greece, but "equal masters of this house".

"You have become the image of the pride of our homeland in this part of Europe. Some here in Greece were surprised, others were upset, some even said that I should not come to visit you, but maybe when they see this display of family joy they will understand that I have not come to meet the servants of theirs of old, but I have come to fight with the equal masters of this house", said Rama.

He emphasized that the image of Albanians in the Greek state has changed a lot, and for this he added that he is very proud.

"Albanians are no longer ragged arrivals from the mountains, but proud representatives of a country that is our Albania. Albania has finally raised its head lowered by violence and looks everyone straight in the eye today with respect for everyone. You are an added value of work, economy, knowledge, culture of this country. Throughout this history, our destinies, life paths, wars, songs, fairy tales, have been much more connected than they seemed", said Rama.

With this meeting, Prime Minister Edi Rama's tour with the Albanian diaspora begins. This meeting from Greece is considered a provocation, because it is held on May 12, on the 1st anniversary of Fredi Beleri's arrest. After Athens, Rama will be in Milan, London and Dusseldorf to meet the Albanians there.
