The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, said that he did not regret having decreed elections for Tirana, even though the Mayor, Erion Veliaj, had appealed his dismissal from the Council of Ministers to the Constitutional Court.

"Have I violated the Constitution?" said the President after being asked by A2.

" I have no regrets at all. The Constitutional Court, with its decision to partially suspend 1/6 of the decree, is very respected by us. We will continue with the process until the issue is fully discussed ," he added.

Asked why he has not yet called the member of the Constitutional Court, Asim Vokshi, to take the oath, the President said: " How do you know that I have not called him. When he is sworn in, you will find out ."
