STRONG STATEMENT/ Florjan Binaj: I will not campaign with Berisha

Florjan Binaj, in an interview for Grida Duma on Top Story, explained why he decided to run for Mayor of Tirana.

The well-known actor and moderator openly stated that the leader of the Democrat Party, Sali Berisha, and the other opposition parties did not choose any candidate, and under these conditions, he decided to try to be the representative of the citizens at the local level.

Invited to Grida Duma's "Top Story", Binaj said:

"I want to start with a thank you for returning to this house that I have artistically reborn in. Ever since I was a child, I have wanted to do things justice. I have even eaten wood sometimes. My commitment has always been there, although not always visible. My social group and family always told me why I don't try," he initially said.

He further added: " The conditions required me to make a decision that was not at all easy these days because it carries a lot of responsibility. I expected my circle to say: What's up? But in fact, everyone was telling me that it was the right thing at the right time. Because the opposition parties opened their arms in a way because they left the dance floor empty. I came out to inspire others to have as many options as possible. The time has come for the citizen to be for the citizen."

Further, Binaj made a strong statement, saying that he is running as an independent candidate and will not meet with citizens with Sali Berisha or any of the other opposition leaders.

Binaj emphasized that he has not spoken with Sali Berisha, but affirmed that he will accept their teams to help him in the campaign, but emphasized that he is running as an independent and is seeking the votes of the citizens of Tirana, both right and left.
