The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha , has reacted after the Constitutional Court suspended President Bajram Begaj's decree to hold partial elections in the Municipality of Tirana on November 9, following an appeal filed by the dismissed mayor Erion Veliaj.
"Today the Constitutional Court made a decision which I welcome as an act of great importance in protecting the country's Constitution," said Berisha.
He stated that the judges, according to him, "protected the Constitution from their enemies, the villains of the state."
Sali Berisha: It was received with great pleasure and satisfaction by the citizens of Tirana from all walks of life. Today, the Constitutional Court made a decision that I welcome as an act of great importance in protecting the Constitution of the country, the constitutionality of the order.
