French President Emmanuel Macron has sharply criticized several foreign leaders, accusing them of exploiting recent violent incidents in France for political and electoral interests.

During a press conference in Doha, he also warned of the danger of manipulating information and spreading fake news.

Without directly mentioning them by name, Macron referred to US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expressing dissatisfaction with their comments regarding the situation in France.

According to reports by French media outlet Le Figaro, the head of state denounced what he described as manipulation of information from abroad, which, according to him, has prompted unacceptable reactions from some international political figures.

"There was manipulation of information from outside, which led to unacceptable and stupid comments from many people, including foreign leaders," Macron declared.
