Prime Minister Edi Rama, during an interview with journalist Rudina Xhunga on the podcast "Flasim", also revealed the moment when, according to him, he will step down from politics and the prime minister's office.

Rama said he does not intend to stay in power indefinitely or become king, emphasizing that the reason he continues to be in politics is related to Albania's integration into the European Union.

"I am not here to become king or to stay forever. I am here only because I see the door of the European Union open and the moment I, with the help of God and the Albanians, cross the threshold of that door, you will be saved from me," Rama declared.

Regarding his long stay in power, Rama said that in parliamentary democracies there is no term limit for the prime minister.

"Parliamentary democracies do not limit the prime minister's mandate, they have no limit on the prime minister's mandate, because it is meaningless. The prime minister is an expression of the majority. It is the majority that decides who to elect and normally the majority elects the one who wins ," said Rama.
