Prime Minister Edi Rama led today the meeting of the Security Council of the United Nations Organization, where the sensitive issue of the Russian occupation of Ukraine was discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the secretary of the US Department of State, Antony Blinken, greeted Rama by shaking hands.
The gathering was aimed at upholding the principles of the UN Charter through effective multilateralism, maintaining the peace and security of Ukraine during the 78th session of the General Debate at the United Nations Headquarters on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in New York City. York.
The President of Ukraine Volodomyr Zelensky, some of the leaders of the 50 participating countries, including the Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergei Lavrov, spoke at the meeting.
