The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, congratulated the Albanians from Elbasan on Summer Day, while calling on them to separate themselves from the regime that impoverished them to the core on May 11th.

Berisha said he promises citizens that in the first 3 months of government, the "Compassion Package" will be implemented, which essentially includes a living wage of 200 euros and pensions of no less than 200 euros.

" There will be a new distribution of budget revenues, an increase in pensions, an increase in the minimum wage, not less than 500 euros, an average salary of 1200 euros. I pledge to the citizens of Elbasan that I will keep my word, here I made the first promise to double the salary. I promise that we will become the best paid people in the region ," said Berisha.
