Playing with the authenticity of the characters, finding the details, forming and unfolding the characters made Zef Deda unique and very lovable.

"Comrade Xhemal's brother-in-law" is one of the most beautiful sketches with which comedian Zef Deda, who passed away today, will always be remembered.

The skit played during 1986 made him so popular that he is often greeted on the street: "Congratulations, brother-in-law of friend Xhemal!"

It remained special in Charlie Chaplin and Pitkin's pantomime.

"I was 25 years old. I watched a lot of movies on TV. I was left with Chaplin. I admired him so much that he appeared in my dreams. I admired him for his extraordinary plasticity, for his amazing and fluid movements" said Zef Deda in an interview with Xhahid Bushati published in 2018

On his way to the stage, he was helped by the well-known actors Zef Jubani, Tinka Kurti, Antoneta Fishta, Vitore Nino, Lec Prendi, Adem Kastrati, Hasan Smaja, Tano Banushi... Artists who had respected his father, whom he had lost when he was aged 7 years old, in an economically poor family, just like in Migenian poems!?

The first person he imitated was the director of the hydrocental cinema club. In the absence of a typist, he typed the materials for our artistic programs himself. With this, he appeared on stage for the first time, in front of the workers of Vau i Deja.

In an interview for Xhahid Buxati in 2018, he shows the problem: he was not given the opportunity to play the miser Harpagon, although he saw the brilliant play of the actor Zef Jubani and engraved it in his memory. But, as Zefi used to say: "Often the desire does not always coincide with the real possibilities".

Zef Deda will always be remembered as a well-deserved artist, who only removed "sadness" through humor.
