Ukraine says it has started production of missiles with a range of over 640 km
NASAMS Missile System

Ukraine says it has begun developing high-precision missile air defense systems similar to the advanced US and Norwegian NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system, according to The Washington Post.

The news agency says that despite Ukraine's manufacturing capabilities and specific sources of raw materials, it has been quite challenging to quickly launch weapons production. This is because, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the defense industry in Ukraine practically collapsed.

"Unfortunately, I can say that without the help of our Western partners, our friends, including from the United States, we will not be able to fully meet the needs of the armed forces of Ukraine," said Maxym Polyvianyi, deputy director of the company " "Blind Ukraine".

Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, also stated that Ukraine has launched a domestically produced missile with a flight range of over 640 kilometers. However, he did not provide details about these missiles.

According to officials, Ukraine is also developing precision missile air defense systems similar to the advanced US and Norwegian NASAMS systems.
