Trump introduces the "Gold Card"

US President Donald Trump today introduced the "Golden Card", which provides foreign millionaires with a path to US citizenship.

Keeping his promise to make it easy to become a U.S. citizen, President Donald Trump unveiled the design of his administration's new $5 million card.

President Trump said he was the first buyer of the "Gold Card" that bears a photo and also his signature.

"For $5 million, this could be yours," Trump told reporters.

This "Golden Card" will replace the EB-5 visa program, which gives foreign nationals who have invested about $1 million in the US the opportunity to receive a green card.

Now, anyone who pays $5 million can purchase the "Golden Card" and receive green card privileges.

The "Golden Card" features a photo of Donald Trump taken in an Atlanta courthouse during his reelection campaign.

Behind him stands the Statue of Liberty and 'The Trump Card' is written on it.

The design of the new card is gold-colored, engraved with the portrait of Donald Trump's face, behind him stands the Statue of Liberty, and on it is written 'The Trump Card'.

After the presentation, the tycoon explained that it will go on sale in the coming weeks: "We will be able to sell millions of these. Even for Russian oligarchs, maybe: I know some Russian oligarchs who are very good people," the president said.

The project is expected to come into effect in the coming weeks, while official details are expected to be made public soon.

The "Golden Card" comes after the announcement of a massive tariff war, in which the US taxed almost 60 countries, starting at 10 percent and extending to about 50 percent.

In a post on "Truth Social", Trump implied that this was a crucial operation in the US.

What does the “Gold Card” offer?

Permanent residency in the US for investors who pay $5 million.

A more streamlined process towards American citizenship, without following the usual multi-year path.

Exemption from certain taxes, including those on income earned outside the US.

According to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, this card will replace the existing EB-5 program, which currently requires investments of about $800,000 to $1 million in projects that create jobs in the US.

Trump expressed optimism about the success of this program, claiming that millions of such cards could be sold, including to international businessmen and oligarchs.

The initiative has sparked debate, as it is seen as a way to "buy" American citizenship, at a time when ordinary immigrants face long and complicated procedures.

Critics consider this policy exclusionary, which could open the door to foreign influence in American politics and the economy.

However, supporters argue that the initiative could bring increased foreign investment and help the country's economy.
