Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen

Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has been attacked in the street in Copenhagen by a man who reportedly punched her.

The attacker, authorities say, was arrested shortly after the incident. He was also armed with a knife.

The prime minister, whose life is not at risk, said she was "shocked" by what happened.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen's office made no further statement about the incident. Police in the Danish capital confirmed the incident but have no comment.
