The Minister of the Interior of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, has asked to clarify as soon as possible the arson in the house of a Serb resident in the village of Veriq in Istog.
While visiting the latter's house, Sveçla requested that all necessary resources be engaged so that the case can be clarified as soon as possible.
"The Republic of Kosovo is and will remain democratic, a country where free and equal citizens live, without any distinction of affiliation or origin. And for these values we will be uncompromising", writes Zveçla on social networks.
The reaction of the American ambassador to Kosovo, Jeff Hovenier, who also visited the Serb's house and strongly condemned the event, was harsher.
"This house in Istog suffered criminal arson. I visited to see for myself, with the permission of the family, who intended to return to their property. I condemn this arson attack and this attempt to intimidate a family from exercising their right to return to their home," the American ambassador declared.
The arson in the Serb's house is still without a perpetrator.
