A scandal has involved a school in the US, where a teacher has admitted to having sex with a minor student.

The incident happened in Nebraska, where Cali Heikes, 26, was a science teacher at Winside Public School. The teacher reportedly created an intimate relationship with one of her students, only 17 years old, with whom she had sex several times, even once in the cemetery.

She would secretly visit him at his house, while his parents were there, and they would have sex in his room.

Heikes has now pleaded guilty to two felonies, including first-degree and second-degree abuse of a school employee.

Although the legal age of sexual consent is 16 in the state of Nebraska, it is illegal for a teacher to have sexual intercourse with a student under the age of 21.
