The US State Department has declared "non grata" about 80 former officials and high-ranking officials around the world due to significant corruption. 

These are former officials and senior officials in Central America, Africa, the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe who have been banned from entering the US.

The American Embassy in Tirana also reacted to this news, which wrote in a post on social networks:

"The Treasury Department designated dozens of individuals and entities for their involvement in corruption, including current or former officials in Central America, Africa, the Western Balkans, and Eastern Europe. Further, the State Department publicly imposed visa restrictions on over 80 officials former or current aliens and immediate family members who are generally disqualified from entering the U.S. due to significant corruption, as well as others under the Northern Triangle-U.S. Enhanced Engagement Act. expanding the impact of these tools, we coordinated with foreign partners through initiatives such as the one for Democracies Against Safe Havens (DASH) and advised foreign governments to adopt similar mechanisms,"where it also distributes the announcement of the White House.
