U.S. soldier attacked in Izmir, Turkey (VIDEO)
Attack on U.S. soldiers in Turkey

The Turkish Youth Union attacked an American soldier in the turkish port city of Izmir.

The group said they carried out such a move to highlight their opposition to U.S. policies on the Middle East and Turkey. Footage of the incident went viral on social media, sparking numerous reactions.

The U.S. soldiers were stationed on a U.S. warship in the port, and apparently had come out of town when confronted by the Turks.

"We put a sack on the heads of the American soldiers on the USSASP, the largest assault ship in the USA! "American soldiers, who carry the blood of our soldiers and thousands of Palestinians in their hands, cannot pollute our country every time you step on this earth, we will welcome you as you deserve," the group said in a statement.
