A new drone attack on Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia power plant has raised the risk of a "major nuclear accident", the International Atomic Energy Agency has said.
Russia has said that Ukraine is behind the attack, in which three people were injured.
Ukraine, on the other hand, has denied involvement, according to the BBC.
This nuclear plant, which is controlled by Russia and has six reactors, is on the front line of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The International Atomic Energy Agency has warned several times against such attacks.
The head of this United Nations agency, Rafael Grossi, said that Saturday's drone attack was "reckless" and a "massive escalation of nuclear security".
The plant in Zaporizhzhia, in southern Ukraine, is the largest in Europe.
Russian forces took control of it shortly after the start of the war in Ukraine, in February 2022.
The International Atomic Energy Agency, which has a team of experts in Zaporizhzhia, has confirmed the "physical impact of drone attacks" on the plant, including on one of the reactors.
The Russian-installed administration inside the plant has said that radiation levels are normal and that no serious damage has been caused.
However, Grossi mentioned that at least "three direct attacks" were recorded in the main reactor.
"This cannot happen", he said.
"No one can gain anything from attacks on nuclear facilities. It's a big no".
