North Macedonian journalist Furkan Saliu arrested

Furkan Saliu

The journalist and founder of PortaliX, Furkan Saliu, was arrested today by the special police unit in North Macedonia.

The event occurred in the village of Konjare, after the Konjare – FK Football Match In the Third League of the country.

The reasons for his arrest are not yet clear.

PortaliX considers that today's special unit's action against journalist Saliu is entirely conducted and "cowardly attempt" to pressure the free journalism that PortaliX practices.
