The "valley of death" is the place where the highest temperatures are recorded in the entire planet. It is located in the United States of America, specifically in southeastern California.
On Saturday "Valley of Death" recorded the highest temperature in the world: 54 degrees. Adventurous tourists did not miss the opportunity to visit the national park to touch a record-breaking moment up close.
The all-time high in Death Valley was set at 56.6 degrees Celsius in July 1913.
Despite the high temperatures, a park ranger says the heat boosts tourism in the area. But no person can stay more than 10 to 15 minutes outside the vehicle as the suffocating heat is unbearable for humans.
It is a place where you cannot find shade. Even vehicles show quite a few problems when they pass through the "Valley of Death". Technology often does not work, therefore the only support for tourism in the "Valley of Death" is the map.
While the unofficial thermostat outside the Visitor Center showed extreme temperatures, the heat did nothing to deter foreign tourists from having a once-in-a-lifetime experience. "Death Valley" was declared a National Park in 1994.
Over a million people visit it every year to contemplate its desert landscape and experience what it's like to spend a few hours in the place with the most extreme temperatures on the planet.
