Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is recovering from a case of food poisoning, his office announced today, indicating that he will continue to work from home for the next three days.
Netanyahu, 75, felt unwell overnight due to an inflammation of the intestines and dehydration, for which he is receiving intravenous treatment, the official statement said.
"On the advice of his doctors, the prime minister will rest at home for three days and will continue to manage state affairs from there," his office added.
Netanyahu has had several health problems in the past.
In 2023, he had a pacemaker implanted, and in December of that year he underwent surgery to remove his prostate after being diagnosed with a urinary tract infection.
