Tech billionaire Elon Musk has announced plans to found a new company, xAI, with the aim of understanding the true nature of the universe.
The company announced on its website that people can meet its team and ask questions at a conversation at Teitter Spaces to be held on Friday.
"We have previously worked at DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Tesla and the University of Toronto," the team said.
They added that they have led the development of some of the biggest breakthroughs in the field, including AlphaStar, AlphaCode, Inception, Minerva, GPT-3.5 and GPT-4.
In March, Musk and a number of tech experts called for a pause on experiments with artificial intelligence (AI) systems in an open letter, citing risks to society and humanity.
Musk is also the CEO of American spacecraft manufacturer and satellite communications company SpaceX and electric car manufacturer Tesla.
