The Shkodra Prosecution Office has closed the investigations and sent Klodian Kolbuçaj, the perpetrator of the murder of 15-year-old Emiljano Gjoni, to trial, an event that occurred on October 14, 2024.

It was a passerby who found the minor lying on the ground, bleeding. The 15-year-old still had signs of life and the passerby took him to the hospital for medical attention.

Unfortunately, the minor could not survive the injuries he sustained and died in hospital.

"The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra completed the investigations and sent the minor in conflict with the law, citizen KK, to trial for the criminal offense of "Murder in other qualifying circumstances", provided for by Article 79, letter "a" of the Criminal Code.

From the investigations conducted in cooperation with the Shkodra Local Police Directorate within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 1538, of 2024, it was possible to prove that, on 14.10.2024, at around 19:30, in the place called the "Skënderbeg" neighborhood, "Ing. Gjovalin Gjadri" street, in the city of Shkodra, the minor in conflict with the law KK, after a conflict for weak motives with the minor E.Gj, shot the latter with a cutting, piercing object, a knife, causing fatal wounds.

"Furthermore, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra expresses its full commitment to holding accountable those who commit criminal offenses against the life and health of a person," the media release states.
