The Archbishop's body leaves for Albania

From the Athens Cathedral, under the funeral sounds of the Greek Navy Band, the procession of the Archbishop of Albania, Anastas Janullatos, departs towards our country.

Top Channel's correspondent in Greece Artur Bibe reports that hundreds of believers closely followed the mass in the Albanian language, a request made by the archbishop's close associates and with special permission from the Greek holy synod in honor of his beatitude Anastasios.

The coffin was then accompanied by numerous applause from those present who honored the work and deeds of the great man of peace and brotherhood, as the President of Greece, Katerina Sakeralopoulos, called him.

The Archbishop's body will arrive in Albania through the Kakavija border crossing.

Along the way there will be stops in the areas he served and worked on the reconstruction of the Albanian autocephalous church.
