The Court of First Instance of Gjirokastër set today the security measure for Skënder and Bledar Ajdini, accused of being involved in the murder of Faik Ajdini in the village of Zhapokike in Memaliaj.

A 'prison arrest' was imposed for Skënder Ajdini and an "obligation to appear" for his son Bledar Ajdini.

The 72-year-old was murdered on August 19, 2024, but his body was discovered in a stream 1 day later on August 20. Meanwhile, Blerti Kanushi, the 23-year-old accused of committing the murder incited by the Ajdini couple, is expected to appear in court tomorrow. He is accused of the criminal offense "Murder with premeditation", committed in cooperation, provided by article 78/25 of the Criminal Code.

Skenderi's wife, Darovi Ajdini, 64, will also appear in court tomorrow. She is charged with the criminal offenses "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth" and "Supporting the author of the crime", provided by articles 301 and 302 of the Criminal Code.
