The company "Sokolaj shpk", which exported 102 containers with 800 tons of KURUM waste to Thailand, which are suspected to be toxic waste and are expected to be returned to Albania, does not have a license for the export of iron oxide.
The company has applied for authorization but it has not been approved. Earlier, in 2022, Sokolaj shpk had an authorization for export, but even at that time the authorization was not specified for iron oxide.
At least that's what it appeared from the documents that the Durrës prosecutor's office seized from the Ministry of Environment.
Meanwhile, the prosecution is expected to seek information in Croatia about who is behind the company DS minerals doo that Sokolaj shpk sold 2,800 tons of alleged iron oxide that it bought from Kurum for 41,000 euros and sold for 141,000, so it sold to itself./Vna. al
