A 38-year-old Chinese woman, who, together with a Chinese co-worker, had set up a prostitution network in Tirana, was arrested while leaving Rinas airport.

Two days ago, the Tirana police discovered a case where two Chinese citizens recruited girls from China and the Philippines through social networks, and then used them, in an apartment they had adapted in the capital.

From the investigations carried out, it has been found that the two suspected perpetrators, through social networks, recruited Chinese and Filipino citizens, who accommodated them in a rented environment adapted for exploitation of prostitution and then using the website "Escort Tirana" used them for prostitution.

At the moment when the recruited girls wanted to withdraw from this criminal activity, the two suspected perpetrators, through the photos published on the page "Escort Tirana", exerted violence against them and pressured the girls' family members.

"The following is the coded police operation "Red Light 2", developed by the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic in DVP Tirana and the Rinas Police Station. A 38-year-old Chinese citizen, implicated in the criminal activity of exploitation of prostitution, is arrested.

The services of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and those of the Rinas Police Station, in implementation of the plan of joint measures to combat border crimes, based on the information provided by the police intelligence that in the Rinas PKK, a citizen would pass to search, for exploitation of prostitution, followed the coded police operation "Red light 2". 

As a result, the Chinese citizen ND, 38 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested and wanted for the criminal offenses of "Exploitation of prostitution", "Owning premises for prostitution", "Extortion through threats or violence to give property". , and "Other intentional damage", provided by articles 114, 115, 109-b, 90 of the Criminal Code.

The 38-year-old woman, together with the 52-year-old citizen YY (previously arrested during the operation), allegedly recruited Chinese and Filipino citizens who then used them for prostitution. At the moment when the recruited girls wanted to withdraw from this criminal activity, the two arrested citizens, through the photos published on the page "Escort Tirana", exerted violence against them and pressured the families of the recruited girls. The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office," the police announced.
