Forcibly taking money from vacationers for public parking, the
Durres Police

The Durrës police have arrested 57-year-old Andon Qose, after embezzling money from citizens who parked their vehicles in a public space that was a free parking lot.

The 57-year-old did not allow citizens to park vehicles in a space, in neighborhood no. 14 of the city, space which was designated by the municipality of Durrës, as a free parking lot.

Qose forced vacationers to pay to leave their car in the parking lot occupied by him.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions.

This is the third case struck by the police in Durrës, during this tourist season, where certain persons force citizens to pay for public parking spaces.
