A serious criminal incident occurred this Wednesday in the Divjaka area. It is learned that 32-year-old Besmir Kumria lost his life as a result of a conflict.
The perpetrator of the murder, Xhesion Toromeni, immediately fled the scene, but was later captured by the police.
Preliminary investigations suspect that citizen Xhesion Toromeni killed citizen Besmir Kumria, after their families had ongoing conflicts over an irrigation canal in the village.
Neighbors say the victim was a quiet, non-conflicting, and hardworking man.
Meanwhile, Besmir Kumriaj's relative was not quick to make a statement, saying that she had no knowledge of the conflict.
"Besmir Kumrian is my nephew. I don't know anything about the water line."
"We found out that he was shot in the bar by an unknown man. He was a good and hardworking guy, but we don't know anything because people have become like cattle," said the resident.
"He was a good boy, he never quarreled with anyone," says the neighbor.
Another village resident says that the incident had deep roots and was related to property conflicts between two families, so it was not a momentary conflict.
"A serious event and the village is very shocked.
There have been conflicts over land and it has not been resolved. The families have been good and orderly, but the cause of the conflict is only this, there is nothing else. They come from Gramsh, they have been in our village for years.
The boys have been orderly, they did everything their fathers told them, they listened to their parents.
Conflicts need to be eliminated, parents need to be more careful, conflicts need to be extinguished", said Kasem Taragjini.
