A serious event has shocked Italy today, where a pregnant woman was inhumanely killed and stabbed several times.
The authorities say that the main suspect is a 41-year-old Albanian from Kosovo, identified as citizen Bujar Fandaj, residing in Altivole, already arrested by the police.
26-year-old Vanessa Ballan was found murdered at the door of her home in the village of Spineda di Riese Pio X, in Treviso. She was several months pregnant and expecting her second child.
According to the information so far, Vanessa worked in a supermarket while the suspected author of the event was a regular customer. He stabbed the pregnant woman at least 7 times, leaving her to die in a pool of blood at the door of her house.
The motives of the shocking event are still unclear.

The dynamics of macabre crime
It was immediately clear that the killer was someone Vanessa Ballan knew. She opened the door for him, but was attacked and killed. Her partner, who was with her at home, although in shock, managed to provide useful elements to the investigators, who immediately followed a precise lead. The murder weapon has not yet been found.
The couple has a 4-year-old son, who was in kindergarten at the time of the crime. Both had lived for years in the small village of Riese, a small residential area with semi-detached houses and a hairdresser's, which the victim frequented.
The president of Venetto, Luca Zaia, also reacted to the shocking crime.
"We are facing a femicide with dramatic contours: two victims, a mother and her child, were barbarically murdered today. All this just a few days before Giulia Cecchetti's funeral. I can now announce that I will give a mandate to the Veneto Region to organize regional mourning on the day of Vanessa Ballan's funeral," he wrote.
