Horror in Vau e Dejës/ 68-year-old man shoots wife several times with a gun out of jealousy, punches her in the face and hits her in the throat with glass

A serious incident occurred in Vau e Dejës, where a 68-year-old man injured his wife in the neck with glass and shot her in the head to kill her.

Police say the injured woman was transported to the Shkodra hospital, while her husband Xhabir Hoxhaj was placed in handcuffs.

The fight is suspected to have started due to jealousy, as the Shkodra Blues report, they arrested the perpetrator in the village of Mjeda.

From the initial investigative actions, it is suspected that the 68-year-old, for weak motives (jealousy), shot his wife twice with a double-barreled shotgun to kill her and then punched her in the face and injured her with a cutting tool (glass) in the neck and shoulder area.

The 61-year-old citizen Gj.H. is under the care of doctors and is out of danger. A double-barreled hunting rifle, two cartridges and 17 hunting rifle cartridges have been seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
