Fire engulfs waste field in Vlora, several homes at risk

Another fire in the urban waste field of the city of Vlora.

The fire started yesterday evening and spread rapidly, aided by strong winds. Firefighters and municipal employees are on the ground to isolate and extinguish the flames.

The waste field is often engulfed in flames that release toxic smoke, causing concern for the residents of Vlora and tourists alike.

The only solution, according to specialists, is to remove the waste to the Sherishta landfill, and until their removal occurs, this situation will remain alarming.
