Policeman and his boss suffer after committing dangerous overtaking inside the "Arbri" road tunnel

A police officer has been fined for violating traffic rules after being filmed performing dangerous overtaking with his work vehicle yesterday in the "Arbri" road tunnel.

Police say the inspector with the initials DD was fined 40,000 new lek and had 15 points deducted from his driving license.

A disciplinary investigation has also been launched against him and the head of the Bulqiza police station.

In relation to another video posted yesterday on the social network "JOQ Albania", which shows a police vehicle overtaking inside one of the tunnels on Arbri Road, after verifying the cameras, it was possible to identify the license plate of the Police vehicle belonging to the Bulqiza Police Station, headed by the Police officer, Inspector DD.

For the violation committed, the Dibra Traffic Police imposed an administrative fine of 40,000 new lek and the driver of the vehicle had 15 points deducted from his driving license.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Professional Standards, based on the violation committed which has a negative impact on citizens and the violation of road traffic rules endangers the lives of road users, in accordance with Article 121, Law 82/2024 "On the State Police", has initiated a disciplinary investigation against the driver of the vehicle, Inspector DD, and the Head of the Bulqizë Police Station, Chief Commissioner EP, for serious violations; "Committing actions that seriously harm the image of the police officer, the institution or the police service as a whole" and "Abuse of police attributes/competencies",
