A serious event that resembles an assassination has shaken Saranda, where one of the oldest hotels on the city's promenade has been leveled with explosives.

It is about the "Bizanti" hotel, built in 1996, which has 2 partners, Spiro Çabirin and Dhimitër Evangjeliu, who have been in litigation with each other for ownership since 2002. An expert has said that 30 kg of dynamite was put on the hotel. .

The powerful explosion caused terror for the residents around 05:55 in the morning after they woke up shocked by the loud noise. They say it looked like a "terrorist act" that shocked everyone. A resident said that the shock was so strong that it seemed like an earthquake. Due to the placement of a large amount of explosives by as yet unidentified perpetrators, the entire area was covered in black smoke for a few moments.
