A large explosion with tritol occurred in one of the oldest hotels in district No. 1 in Saranda. As a result, it was heard throughout the city and there is extensive damage to many businesses and residences around.

It is suspected that several kg of explosives were placed at the hotel "Bizanti" owned by Spiro Çabiri.

The event happened at 05:54 on the city boulevard. The explosion has been so big that it has raised up the residents in the whole area who are scared by the loud noise. 

The 2-story hotel that was built around the 90s was located by the sea and was completely flattened by the explosion, while the business is understood to have been non-functional. The hotel only operated during the months when there was tourist flow.
