mbrah Nuredini is the father from Elbasan and residing in Durrës who was arrested after he was filmed negotiating to sell the baby that would be born to them against a payment of 5 thousand euros. Prosecutor Anila Bebeçi asked for the security measure "arrest in prison" for Nuredini.

Meanwhile, the latter denied the accusation, saying that he would not sell his child as he has 5 other children that he takes care of.

Nuredini appeared before the jury without a defense lawyer as his economic and financial situation does not allow it. Even the appointed lawyer mainly defended her client stating that the criminal offense was not committed and requested house arrest, based on Nuredini's role as the only one who provides food for the family through collecting cans.

"I want to go to the children and I don't know how they did it. I was drunk that day. I am the only one who supports the family with food. Collect cans. I love children" - said the father who put his child up for sale in front of the court.

The judge emphasized that the law foresees imprisonment from 10-20 years for "Trafficking of minors", since the criminal offense has a high social risk, and therefore left it as a security measure "arrest in prison".

While Nuredini has been arrested, his pregnant wife is also under investigation, who was aware of what her husband was going to do with the child that has yet to be born.
