Seven active fires in the country, advocates from Sweden and Croatia fighting the flames

During the last few hours, 13 fires have been identified in Albania, of which 6 fires have been extinguished and 7 are active.

Currently, hotbeds are active in the districts of Vlora, Fier, Lezhë Dibër, Elbasan and Tirana.

Information from the Ministry of Defence:

* Vlora Region.
In the village of Navarica, the fire has moved in the direction of the mountain above the village. In the village of Leshnica e Poshtme, after work and air intervention, the danger to the apartments was avoided. In support of the forces in the field, the Air Force helicopter and the two Fireboss aircraft, coming from Sweden, operated, which carried out 44 (2x22) drops

* Tragjas village, Orikum administrative unit, Vlora municipality. The fire develops on areas with shrubs and low vegetation. 17 officers from MZSH Vlora and 3 from the Forest Service are operating in the area. At the moment there is no danger to housing.

* Fier District.
Lofkënd village, Dukas Center administrative unit, Mallakastër municipality. From the engagement of forces in the field and the intervention from the air, it has become possible to isolate the fire. The fire remains active in two hotbeds, in the southern and northwestern part. At both points it is impossible to operate from the ground. Work continues to isolate the fire hearth with aerial intervention, where the Croatian Canadair aircraft operates.

* Lezha District.
The village of Malaj Eperm, the administrative unit of Rrëshen, the municipality of Mirdita. The fire continues to be active in a forest area with pine, oak, shrubs and dense vegetation, in a difficult terrain and that does not allow operation with water disposal tools. 33 operational forces from local structures are operating in the area. The forces are mainly working on creating dividing belts to prevent the spread of the fire. The area covered by the fire is estimated in advance at 10 ha. At the moment, there is no danger to residential areas.

* Dibër District.
The place called "Mountain of Allushi", the village of Plan i Bardhë, Klos municipality, the hotbed of the fire extinguished days ago has been reactivated. The fire has been brought under control and does not pose a risk of spreading. There is no danger to housing.

* Elbasan
District Lleshaj Village, Poroçan Administrative Unit, Gramsh Municipality. The fire takes place in a forest area with showers at a distant distance and difficult terrain on the border with the municipality of Përrenjas. It was worked during the day and the fire was completely isolated. The fireplace is being monitored by Forest Service employees for possible reactivations.

* Tirana District.
Mount Bërzhita, Bërzhita administrative unit, Tirana municipality. The fire takes place on an area with dense vegetation. 15 forces from MZSH Tirana are working in the field. Work continues to extinguish the fire. There is no danger to housing.
