The Spanish authorities have arrested a person declared internationally wanted by Albania, who is accused of being the head of a criminal organization of international narcotics trafficking.

According to media reports, he is Juxhin Drazhi, considered a member of Elvis Doçi's criminal group, also known as the Vis of Poja.

Drazhi was captured by the Malaga Civil Guard in a luxury villa in Almuñécar (Granada).

Spanish media reports that the investigation began after it became known that members of the international gang were taking numerous security measures in an isolated house in Almuñécar, which aroused the suspicions of the officers.

After surveillance of the property, it was discovered that one of the main leaders of the gang had been hiding there, not leaving the villa and using his associates to provide him with everything he needed to avoid identification and arrest.

The property where he was hiding was a luxury villa with every comfort, located on high ground, which allowed him to monitor the surroundings and anticipate any police intervention.

Members of this gang prided themselves on carrying firearms, and Drazhi even had an escort, so they were considered very dangerous and at high risk of escape and possible armed resistance to arrest.

After noticing the police presence, the leader of the gang attempted to escape by running across the mountain slope, but was caught by officers who surrounded the house.

A house check revealed numerous forged personal documents (passport, ID card and driver's license) that would have given the detainee a false identity that he could have used to evade police action, as well as numerous luxury items, including a high-value wristwatch.

In addition, a check of the area where the detainee fled discovered a firearm with two magazines, thirteen cartridges and a silencer.
