Marko Ljubisa, also known as "Kan", was injured after a gun attack near the pool of a hotel in Przno, Budva.
The attack was allegedly carried out by a hotel guest, according to reports from the newspaper Vijesti.
Local media have considered Ljubisa the leader of a criminal group in Budva, working closely with the Shkaljar clan.

Kan has been the target of attacks for years by the rival Kavaç clan, which has attempted to eliminate him several times.
He has survived at least five assassination attempts, twice in Belgrade and three times in Budva.
One case is that of an armed attack in August 2019 in Budva, where two of his friends were injured, but he remained unharmed.
In addition to the attacks in Montenegro, Khan has also been shot in Belgrade, where he lived and frequently traveled between Belgrade and Budva. The first attack on Khan occurred in 2009 in Belgrade, when he was shot in the parking lot of the Belgrade Arena after a football match, where he was shot in the neck, and police later concluded that it was about some of his unsolved criminal accounts. In 2013, he was seriously injured in Belgrade, but managed to survive.
In January 2021, Montenegrin police arrested two people from Belgrade, suspected of being hitmen sent to eliminate Kanin. During the arrest, weapons and a photograph of Marko Ljubisa, the target of the assassination, were found.
