For Flamur and Gëzime Sula, the pain will never go away. Their daughter, only 22 years old, was unjustly killed.

Ilaria had gone to Rome to study statistics, a field she loved very much, but her life was cut short by the hand of her ex-boyfriend, a 23-year-old of Filipino origin, Mark Antony Samson.

Her parents spoke to Italian television station RAI. The pain is unimaginable.

"I don't know how I'll do without Ilaria. Ilaria was everything to me, she was everything. She was torn from my heart," says her mother.

Flamur demands justice for his daughter. He says that Ilaria was not an object that was treated in such an inhumane way.

"They killed her and threw her in a suitcase. What was she, an object? My daughter was not an object, she was not a sweater, not a pair of shoes, but a human being," she says, with the pain evident in her father's eyes.

Despite hundreds of phone calls, no message came from Ilaria. Gëzime Sula says she immediately thought the worst. But what adds to this tragedy is the author's mother.

"The mother should have called the ambulance and the emergency services immediately and not helped him throw it away," said Flamur Sula.

Soon, Ilaria would graduate, a day she had been eagerly awaiting.

"She also talked about the dress she wanted to wear for graduation," her mother said.

Now the Sula family is left with only memories and this audio message.

The Sula family thanked everyone present at their daughter's funeral ceremony.

"All those people who participated in our grief gave strength to me and my family. I thank the police forces in Rome and Terni for their work. I thank all the students, classmates and friends of Ilaria. I thank the Italian and Albanian communities who were close to my family. Thank you to everyone," said Flamur.

Mark Antony Samson and his mother have been arrested in connection with the murder of Ilaria Sula. The latter helped him hide the body.

According to the investigation, after the murder, Samson went to eat with a friend of Ilaria's. He even used her phone to divert the investigation by sending messages pretending to be her and saying he would be back.

These actions say a lot about the nature of the Filipino murderer who took the life of a girl in the bloom of youth.
