The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, in a statement from the scene, provided details about what happened in the capital, where a building caught fire near the QSUT area.

Hita stated that RENEA is committed to opening the doors of the apartments. He added that not all the entrance doors to the complex have been opened and we cannot yet have a final assessment, without the flames being extinguished.

He also warned of an in-depth investigation, adding that if the arson was intentional, there will be measures.

"We have not made a final assessment yet. Once we do, we will let you know the results. Firefighters have been taken to the hospital, they have minor burns, they do not have serious burns. We have coordinated all institutions. RENEA was engaged in opening the doors. Not all apartments have been checked.

The fire must be brought under control so that we can have more visible results. It is still too early to talk about concrete results, we are taking all the security cameras, everyone involved will be questioned as declarants and all investigative actions will be taken, and if it is intentional arson, of course there will be measures ," said Hita.
