A difficult intervention was successfully carried out at the University Hospital Center in Tirana.

Neurosurgery doctors performed the delicate intervention on the brain with the 24-year-old patient awake, saving the young man's life. The news was announced by the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu, who shared a video on Facebook.

"A delicate intervention in the brain with the awake patient was successfully performed by the #Neurosurgery team at #QSUT, saving the life of the 24-year-old man," Manastirliu writes.

Doctors discovered the tumor in the young man's brain a few years ago, but decided to perform the intervention recently. As the doctor explains in the video, the tumor was in an area important for the functioning of the face.

After the tumor continued to grow, doctors were forced to perform an intervention. But they had to do it through smart surgery considering the risks involved for the 24-year-old.
