A municipal employee in Gjirokastra fell from a height while working and died in Trauma!

The employee of the Community Services Enterprise in Gjirokastra, with the initials DK, 55 years old, who was seriously injured after an accident at work, has passed away at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

The serious incident occurred on March 3, in the "Zinxhira" neighborhood in the city of Gjirokastra, where the employee fell from the second floor of a private building while carrying out cleaning work on the facility, which had been seized by the bank.

As a result of the fall, he suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to the Trauma Hospital, where he could not survive his injuries.

In connection with the incident, the State Police arrested three people, accused of the criminal offense of "violation of occupational safety regulations".

Meanwhile, the head of the institution, citizen Adriatik Onjea , is accused of the criminal offense of "abuse of office." According to sources, immediately after the incident he fled to neighboring Greece and was declared wanted by the authorities.

The court has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" for the two technical officers, citizens PC and AB, while for citizen AL, with the position of brigadier, the measure "house arrest" has been imposed.

Investigations to fully elucidate the circumstances of the incident continue.
